O sweet morning,

a canary weeps

for the loss of another night.

Brap, brapp, brappa-lappa-lap

is the sound of the garbage truck

as it pootyloots along the street.

I want a sandwich.

That wasn’t so bad, was it? Remember, to enter this contest for a $150 Visa gift card, take this survey and send your answer to the last question to (subject line: “Visa Poetry”), along with a short poem of your own. We will subjectively choose one winner (because art’s all subjective, man).
